Glass Ceiling consists of Audree D on drums and vocals, Linda on guitar and vocals, Hilary on bass (and vocals someday). Each member brings to the band a different background, as is often the case w/ any band, except there is a true synergy involved with these femmes. They have not pigeon-holed themselves into any specific genre, nor have they tried to present themselves as a novelty act. There is real and true talent here which isn't going to be cheapened with plastic pink Barbie-esque trappings. Don't get me wrong, they don't wear burlap bags either. They are who they are, musicians first and sexy women second (don't tell them I said that, ‘cause they'd beat the crap out of me). Music you can expect to hear at a show of theirs includes Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Police, No Doubt, Jimi Hendrix, Lauren Hill, Sugar Hill Gang, Stevie Wonder etc. Glass Ceiling can do them all, and well. The music doesn't just support the vocals, it drives them. As for the vocals, theirs set them apart from nearly all rock bands of yesterday or today. They're layered, interwoven fleeting sound-sculptures recreating the rock and roll which is a main staple of our society here in the U.S. Their original material is slim, currently, but the band is setting time aside to grow that facet of Glass Ceiling.
